Oracle collaborates with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation to equip youth with the latest IT skills and capabilities to enhance employment opportunities and expand India’s IT talent pool
Oracle and Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) have announced a collaboration to provide skills development training to 400,000 students across the state to enhance their employability and help advance their careers.
Through this collaboration, 400,000 students at different stages of their learning and professional goals will gain access to digital training material and foundational certifications to prepare them for jobs of the future. This includes access to over 300 hours of learning programs on several technologies such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle AI services, OCI Generative AI, OCI Data Science, Oracle APEX, OCI DevOps, and Oracle Security, along with complete structured learning paths.
“Our collaboration with Oracle is a huge milestone in strengthening and expanding the digital capabilities of the youth of Andhra Pradesh,” said G. Ganesh Kumar, I.A.S, MD & CEO, APSSDC. “We are determined to produce a highly skilled IT workforce and become the IT knowledge hub for the world.”
The program will be delivered for free as a digital learning experience through Oracle MyLearn, Oracle’s comprehensive training and enablement platform from Oracle University, used by millions of technology trainees around the world. It will offer rigorous foundational training in cloud technologies, leading to professional-level training, certifications, and additional training that will be individually curated based on learning levels and educational goals. It will also provide students with a foundation in cloud computing and a better understanding of other core concepts such as AI, ML, data science or block chain.
In addition to professional certifications, students can also earn badges that demonstrate their readiness for specialized job roles, making it easier for employers to identify qualified candidates and support job placement efforts within the state.
“We are proud to partner with APSSDC in our ongoing commitment to empower youth with future-ready skills and support India’s economic development,” said Shailender Kumar, senior vice president and regional managing director, Oracle India and NetSuite – Japan and Asia Pacific. “With AI reshaping the global workforce, the need for continuous upskilling has never been more urgent. Oracle University’s Skills Development Initiative offers world-class training and certifications that not only build in-demand digital competencies, but also helps students validate their expertise, enhance employability, and bring long-term stability to their careers. Together with APSSDC, we aim to create meaningful pathways for local talent to thrive in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.”
Oracle University provides access to some of the world’s leading technology experts and practitioners to support cloud technology training and certification worldwide. More than 20 million hours of Oracle University learning content have been viewed by learners globally, and the program has trained more than 3.1 million Oracle certified professionals in the global workforce.
