Oppo Reno 16 lineup may bring new hardware button as OnePlus 15s India launch timeline surfaces

Fresh details about the upcoming Oppo Reno 16 series have surfaced online, hinting at new hardware features and design updates. At the same time, the expected India launch timeline for the OnePlus 15s has also been tipped.

According to a tipster, the Oppo Reno 16 lineup may include Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro, Reno 16 Pro Mini, and Reno 16C models. A key highlight could be the introduction of a customisable ‘Plus Key’. This dedicated hardware button is similar to the one seen on recent OnePlus devices like the OnePlus 15. It allows users to trigger AI features, open apps, switch profiles, and control camera functions. The feature was first introduced with the OnePlus 13s.

The leak also suggests that the Reno 16 Pro models may feature a camera module design similar to an already launched smartphone, though not an iPhone. However, the final design is yet to be confirmed.

In addition, the OnePlus 15s is expected to launch in India by the end of Q2 or during Q3.

For context, Oppo launched the Reno 15 series in its home market in November last year and later introduced it in India in January. The lineup includes Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, Reno 15 Pro Max, Reno 15 Pro Mini, and Reno 15C, starting at Rs. 45999.

The Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro feature LTPS AMOLED displays, with screen sizes of 6.59-inch and 6.78-inch, respectively. The Reno 15 Pro Mini comes with a compact 6.32-inch display.

Performance-wise, the Pro models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, while the standard Reno 15 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. The Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro pack 6500mAh batteries, while the Pro Mini includes a 6200mAh battery.

All three models run on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and support 80W wired fast charging. They also come with IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and feature 50MP front cameras.
