Performance-focused smartphones are about to get a new addition, as OnePlus prepares to launch its Turbo lineup in China later this week. A fresh teaser has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus Turbo 6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
The Turbo 6 is positioned as a high-performance device aimed at gaming and power users. Alongside the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, the teaser also highlights OnePlus’ proprietary G1 WiFi chip and a Lingxi Display chip. These are designed to deliver faster wireless connectivity and improved touch responsiveness. The phone will feature a 165Hz refresh rate display, reinforcing its focus on smooth visuals and gaming performance.
OnePlus is promoting the Turbo 6 as capable of delivering flagship-level gaming with immersive and ultra-smooth visuals. Teaser images also reconfirm a massive 9,000mAh battery, one of the largest seen in this segment.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 will debut in China on January 8, 2026. It is expected to launch in 4 variants: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB. The device is tipped to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution.
Charging support includes 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging. For cameras, the rear setup is expected to include a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the front houses a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. More details are expected to be revealed at launch.
