In a fresh update for smartphone buyers, OnePlus has confirmed the launch of the OnePlus Nord 6 in India next month, revealing key specifications ahead of its release.
The successor to the OnePlus Nord 5 will launch in India on April 7 at 7:00 PM IST. The device will be available on Amazon.
According to the company’s website, the OnePlus Nord 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. It is claimed to support 165 FPS gameplay on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The smartphone will also feature a “Touch Reflex” chip and a six-axis console controller gyro.
For connectivity, the device will include a G2 Wi-Fi chip. It will pack a 9,000mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 2.5 hours of battery life. The phone will be available in 3 colour options: Silver, Green, and Black. As per the company’s post, the device will run on OxygenOS and will launch as an Amazon Specials product.
Reports suggest that the OnePlus Nord 6 may be priced higher than its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord 5, which was launched in India in July at a starting price of Rs 29,999.
Several reports also indicate that the OnePlus Nord 6 could mirror the specifications of the OnePlus Turbo 6, launched in China in January. If so, the expected specifications include a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with up to 165Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits peak brightness. It may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, with 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
The device is expected to run on Android 16-based ColorOS 16. Camera specifications may include a 50MP + 2MP rear setup and a 16MP front camera. It could feature a 9000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC Flash Charge and 27W wired reverse charging. Durability ratings may include IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
