OnePlus is expected to soon introduce the OnePlus Nord 6 in India as part of its popular Nord smartphone lineup. The company launched the Nord 5 series in June last year, and reports suggest the next generation device could arrive in the coming weeks.
Recent leaks indicate that the OnePlus Nord 6 may bring major upgrades in performance, battery capacity, and durability compared with its predecessor.
What to expect from OnePlus Nord 6
The smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench with the CPH2795 model number. According to reports, the device could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Turbo 6, which debuted in China earlier.
The phone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. It may come with up to 12GB RAM and run on Android 16-based OxygenOS 16.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the device could feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The phone is also expected to support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, offering faster performance and improved efficiency.
One of the biggest upgrades could be improved durability. The Nord 6 may include IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection, which is a significant improvement over the IP65 rating on the Nord 5. This would allow protection against dust, water immersion up to 1.5 meters, and high-pressure hot or cold water jets.
Battery and charging
Another major highlight could be the 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which would be a large jump from the 6,800mAh battery found in the Nord 5. The device is expected to support 80W wired SuperVOOC charging along with 27W wireless or reverse charging.
Camera features
On the camera front, the phone may feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with OIS and a 2MP or 8MP secondary sensor. For selfies, the device is expected to include a 16MP front camera.
