OnePlus may introduce compact OnePlus 15T with high refresh rate display

Early details about a new compact smartphone from OnePlus have begun to surface online, hinting at what could be the next addition to the company’s premium lineup.

According to a report, OnePlus is preparing to launch a compact device expected to be called the OnePlus 15T. The specifications were shared on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The phone is tipped to feature a flat 6.3 inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate. If this information is accurate, the device would fall into the same size segment as the OnePlus 13T, which was launched in India as the OnePlus 13S with a slightly smaller battery. This suggests the OnePlus 15T could arrive as the successor to the OnePlus 13S.

The report indicates that the OnePlus 15T is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The smartphone is expected to offer a 6.3 inch display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, focusing on smooth performance and visual clarity.

One of the most notable upgrades could be the battery. The device is said to pack a battery ranging between 7000mAh and 7500mAh. If confirmed, this would be a significant jump compared to the 6260mAh battery seen on the OnePlus 13T and would be unusually large for a compact smartphone.

In terms of design and security, the OnePlus 15T is expected to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor placed under the display along with a metal frame. On the camera front, the phone is said to include a 50MP JN5 telephoto camera. It is expected to be similar to the 2x telephoto lens found on the OnePlus 13S, although details about the exact zoom level have not been confirmed.

Expected specifications of the OnePlus 15T include a 6.3 inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 7000mAh or 7500mAh battery, a rear setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP JN5 telephoto camera, an ultrasonic in display fingerprint sensor, and a metal frame.
