OnePlus 15T set for China debut as compact flagship with premium specs

Fresh signals from the brand’s community leadership suggest that OnePlus is preparing to unveil its next compact flagship in China. The upcoming OnePlus 15T is expected to target users who prefer smaller displays without compromising on high-end performance.

In a recent video, OnePlus community lead Shuai Lan confirmed that the OnePlus 15T will launch soon in China. Several users on Weibo have also shared invitations from the company, hinting at the arrival of a compact smartphone. Reports indicate the launch could take place around mid-to-late March.

The OnePlus 15T is tipped to feature a 6.32-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The device is likely to run Android 16-based ColorOS 16.

Battery capacity is expected to range between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh, with several leaks pointing specifically to a 7,500mAh unit. The handset may support 100W wired charging along with wireless charging. An ultrasonic 3D in-display fingerprint sensor is also anticipated.

Design leaks suggest a compact form factor with a matrix-style rear camera layout and a near-unibody finish. The phone could be offered in Cloud Ink Black, Morning Mist Grey, and Powder (pink) colour options.

Camera specifications remain unclear. Earlier leaks hinted at a triple rear camera setup, possibly featuring either a 200-megapixel or 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, along with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and a 32-megapixel front camera. However, more recent reports suggest the device may instead carry a dual rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, paired with a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Separately, OnePlus is also said to be working on a OnePlus 15s for global markets. The device is reportedly back on track and could launch with a different camera configuration compared to the OnePlus 15T.
