OnePlus 15T confirmed with bigger 7,500mAh battery, faster charging and stronger durability

OnePlus has begun revealing key details about its upcoming OnePlus 15T, which is expected to launch soon. Through multiple teasers, the company has already hinted at the smartphone’s display and camera features. The latest update from a company executive now confirms the device’s battery capacity, charging speeds and dust and water resistance ratings. The new model is expected to bring a larger battery and improved durability compared to the OnePlus 13T launched in 2025.

In a Weibo post, OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis confirmed that the OnePlus 15T will come with a 7,500mAh battery. The smartphone will support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The device will also use Glacier Battery technology, which OnePlus developed in partnership with CATL and has already been used in some existing models. The battery capacity marks a clear upgrade from the 6,260mAh battery found in the OnePlus 13T, which supports 80W fast charging. For comparison, the OnePlus 15 has a 7,300mAh battery, while the OnePlus 15R features a 7,400mAh battery.

The executive also revealed that the OnePlus 15T will come with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. According to Li Jie Louis, it is the “only small-screen flagship on the market that simultaneously supports” this complete range of protection ratings. In comparison, the OnePlus 13T carries an IP65 rating, while the flagship OnePlus 15 also includes IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications.

Earlier teasers have suggested that the OnePlus 15T will feature a slim and lightweight design with very narrow bezels measuring 1.xx mm on all four sides. The device will include a LUMO periscope telephoto lens and improved heat management compared to its predecessor. The smartphone is rumoured to feature a 6.32-inch display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It may also include a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700 sensor and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 sensor. The phone is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB internal storage.
