OnePlus 15s appears on Bureau of Indian Standards platform pointing to upcoming India launch

OnePlus seems to be preparing to expand its flagship smartphone line-up in India with a new device. After the recent launch of the OnePlus 15R as a follow up to the OnePlus 15, a third model is now expected to enter the market. A smartphone believed to be the OnePlus 15s has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards certification website, a key step that usually signals an upcoming India launch. While official details remain limited, the listing suggests that the company is gearing up for another premium release in the coming months.

The BIS database shows a device with the model number CPH2793. The certification does not reveal specifications or design details. However, a post by X user @kpgc10kai_ claims that this model number belongs to the OnePlus 15s. If accurate, the device would become the third smartphone in the OnePlus 15 series, alongside the OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus 15R. The OnePlus 15s is also expected to succeed the OnePlus 13s, which was launched in India earlier this year in June.

For context, the OnePlus 13s debuted in India on June 05 with a starting price of Rs. 54,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage option was priced at Rs. 59,999. It was offered in Black Velvet, Green Silk and Pink Satin colour options. The smartphone featured a 6.32-inch LTPO display with 1.5K resolution of 1,216 x 2,640 pixels, up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness. It was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and packed a 5,850mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Meanwhile, the recently launched OnePlus 15R has received strong early feedback for its performance, display and battery life, each scoring 9 out of 10 in a detailed review. The phone features a 165Hz AMOLED display and delivers solid gaming performance, while durability and software support scored 8 out of 10. The review noted the absence of a telephoto camera and LTPO display as drawbacks. With an overall “Value for Money” score of 8 out of 10, the device is seen as powerful but facing tough competition due to its pricing compared to the standard OnePlus 13R.
