OnePlus has revealed that the upcoming OnePlus 15R Ace Edition will arrive in India alongside the standard OnePlus 15R model. The company shared that this special variant will serve as the third colour option for the series, joining Charcoal Black and Mint Green. While the new Electric Violet version introduces cosmetic changes, the brand has confirmed that all core features will remain the same as the regular 15R.
The company stated that the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition will be available through Amazon and the OnePlus India website. The launch is set for December 17, where the OnePlus 15R and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will also be introduced. With the addition of Electric Violet, Indian customers will now see the OnePlus 15R offered in three shades. The Ace Edition features a fibreglass back panel with a special coating and an “Ace” imprint. Its design matches the Electric Violet finish of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which debuted in China on December 3. The OnePlus 15R itself is widely believed to be a rebadged version of that device.
The Ace Edition keeps all internal specifications identical to the standard OnePlus 15R. The phone is confirmed to feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It offers a 450PPI pixel density and can reach a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. OnePlus says the screen supports a brightness range from 2 nits to 1,800 nits. In the camera department, the device will include the DetailMax Engine for computational photography along with Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst and Clear Night Engine.
OnePlus has worked with Qualcomm to co-design the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and the OnePlus 15R will be the first smartphone powered by this processor. The device will also include the new G2 WIFI chip and a Touch Response Chip to improve performance. More details are expected at the official launch event on December 17.
