The OnePlus 15 launch seems imminent, as the company has confirmed that the smartphone will debut in China in October. A recent report now suggests that the upcoming device will house the largest battery ever used in a OnePlus smartphone. It is also expected to support wireless charging. The update comes shortly after a tipster claimed that the global launch of the OnePlus 15 will take place on November 13, although the company has not yet made an official announcement.
According to a report by a tipster named Bald Panda, the OnePlus 15 will be powered by a massive 7,300mAh battery. The phone is expected to support 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. However, it remains unclear whether it will also include reverse charging support.
In addition to the battery specifications, the report revealed other key details about the upcoming flagship. The OnePlus 15 will likely feature a 6.78-inch display, slightly smaller than the 6.82-inch screen of its predecessor. The device is said to measure 8.1mm in thickness and weigh between 211 and 215 grams. Apart from the already teased Sand Dune colour option, the phone is also expected to be available in Black and Purple variants.
The company has confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, built using TSMC’s 3nm N3P process. The chipset, with a 64-bit architecture, is said to deliver 23 percent better performance and 20 percent improved battery efficiency compared to its predecessor.
The upcoming smartphone will also feature a 165Hz refresh rate display, an upgrade from the 120Hz panels used in previous models. This will enable smoother gameplay and higher frame rates, with some titles capable of running at 165fps.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to run on Android 16-based ColorOS 16 in China and OxygenOS 16 in other regions. The company announced on social media that OxygenOS 16 will integrate Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence models, offering on-device AI capabilities.
