Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited has announced the appointment of Omkar Prasad as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective 16 September 2025, according to a regulatory filing.
Prasad will take over from Suparna Banerjee Bhattacharyya, who is stepping down to explore opportunities outside the organisation.
At present, Prasad serves as Chief Accounting Officer for Greater India, managing operations across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. His appointment has been approved by the board and will be reported to regulators as a Key Managerial Personnel change.
A Fellow Chartered Accountant and an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, Prasad has over 20 years of experience in financial controllership, tax compliance, and risk management. He has successfully led digital transformation initiatives that resulted in cost optimisation, process simplification, and team innovation across Schneider Electric’s South Asia business.
Recognised for his ability to build diverse and high-performing teams, Prasad is known for combining strategic finance with a strong focus on sustainability and simplification. His leadership reflects Schneider Electric’s commitment to financial agility and operational excellence.
Bhattacharyya will continue in her role until mid-September to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.
