In his expanded role, Aslaner will lead global sourcing strategies across entertainment-focused consumer electronics categories. He oversees sourcing operations that support Walmart’s retail markets in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Central America. His responsibilities include managing sourcing for televisions, tablets, laptops, audio devices, mobile phones, streaming devices, accessories, and related electronics.
Aslaner will also focus on strengthening supplier partnerships, optimizing cost structures, improving supply chain resilience, and aligning sourcing strategies with product innovation. He will continue to lead and develop a diverse international team supporting Walmart’s global sourcing network.
Before this promotion, Aslaner served as Director, Sourcing – Electronics (Entertainment) at Walmart from 2023 to 2026. During this period, he designed and executed global sourcing strategies while managing cross-border operations through a multi-country team across five offices. His leadership emphasized operational efficiency, strategic sourcing execution, and building high-performance global teams.
Prior to joining Walmart, Aslaner spent nearly 15 years with Arçelik Global, where he held several senior sourcing roles across Shanghai, Istanbul, and Taipei. As Head of Global Sourcing in Shanghai, he led OEM and ODM sourcing strategies for televisions, white goods, and consumer electronics across global markets.
In that role, he managed large supplier networks, secured strategic sourcing agreements, coordinated cross-functional stakeholders across continents, and mentored multicultural sourcing teams in China, Turkey, South Africa, and India.
Earlier in his career, Aslaner handled global sourcing portfolios exceeding $200 million annually and strengthened supplier relationship frameworks. He also worked closely with display manufacturers including Samsung, LG, AUO, Innolux, BOE, and CSOT.
His early professional experience also includes technical support operations at Ericsson Digital Services.
With deep expertise in strategic sourcing, OEM and ODM operations, global supply chain management, and stakeholder leadership, Aslaner’s promotion highlights his continued impact in strengthening Walmart’s global sourcing capabilities.
