Ola Electric has announced the rollout of MoveOS 5, the latest iteration of its proprietary operating system, designed to significantly enhance the performance of its popular S1 electric scooters and the newly launched Roadster X motorcycles. This major software update aims to deliver faster acceleration, improved reliability, and an extended driving range, fortifying Ola Electric’s position in India’s fiercely competitive electric vehicle (EV) market.
The company’s strategy is centered on leveraging its robust in-house technology to differentiate its product offerings amidst formidable rivals such as Ather Energy, Bajaj Auto, and TVS Motor Company. MoveOS 5, featuring an optimized in-house Motor Control Unit, is specifically engineered to provide sharper performance on Ola Electric’s Gen 3 platform.
“This upgrade isn’t just about new features, it fundamentally enhances the performance, reliability, and range of our vehicles,” said an Ola Electric spokesperson. “With smarter energy management, real-time system monitoring, and more user control over ride settings, we’re enabling our riders to get more out of every ride.”
This strategic software upgrade is expected to bolster Ola Electric’s standing as India’s largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer, as it continues to innovate and adapt to the dynamic demands of the burgeoning EV landscape.
