India’s tech market welcomed a new smartphone brand on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, as NxtQuantum officially launched Ai+ Smartphone. The new venture is being spearheaded by Madhav Sheth, former Realme India CEO, who had also been briefly associated with HonorTech. He has now founded a homegrown tech company, NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, and taken on the role of CEO.
Ai+ Smartphone made its debut with two models — Pulse, a 4G device, and Nova, a 5G phone. Both phones run on a newly introduced operating system called NxtQuantum OS, which the company claims is India’s first sovereign mobile operating system. The OS focuses on giving users full visibility and control over their data.
“Ai+ Smartphone is about putting control back in the hands of Indian users,” said Madhav Sheth, CEO, Ai+ Smartphone and Founder, NxtQuantum Shift Technologies. “For years, we’ve relied on phones and platforms that were never made with India in mind. Ai+ Smartphone changes that. These phones are fast, beautifully designed, and most importantly, they keep your data safe,” he added.
According to the company, all user data — including app preferences and backups — will be stored securely within India using Google Cloud Regions that are empanelled by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
The Ai+ smartphones are manufactured in India by United Telelinks (Bangalore) Limited at their facility in Noida. They support multiple Indian languages, offer access to local content, and allow for customisation through the NxtQuantum Theme Designer Tool. The phones will be available for purchase via Flipkart.
The Ai+ Smartphone Pulse comes with a 6.7-inch HD+ display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Unisoc T615 processor and supports memory expansion up to 1TB. It has a 50MP camera and a 5,000 mAh battery. Colour options include Blue, Black, Green, Purple, and Pink. Prices start at ₹4,499, and the device will go on sale starting July 12.
The Ai+ Smartphone Nova 5G also features a 6.7-inch HD+ screen but with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the Unisoc T8200 chip and also supports up to 1TB of expandable memory. Like Pulse, Nova has a 50MP camera and a 5,000 mAh battery. It will be available in the same five colours, starting at ₹7,499, with sales beginning July 13.
With the launch of Ai+ Smartphone, NxtQuantum is aiming to offer Indian users a secure, localised, and affordable smartphone experience tailored specifically to the country’s needs.
