NxtGen AI announces India’s largest homegrown AI factory powered by advanced GPUs

In a significant step for India’s artificial intelligence ecosystem, NxtGen AI has unveiled what it claims to be the country’s largest dedicated AI factory, built entirely on domestic infrastructure.

The facility is powered by more than 4,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and Dell systems. Vertiv is providing the physical data centre infrastructure, while Dell is supplying core compute systems and integration. The setup is designed to support advanced generative AI and physical AI workloads at a national scale.

Vertiv’s role focuses on ensuring stable power delivery and efficient cooling for the high-density GPU environment. The company is deploying dry-cooling technology to reduce energy consumption while maintaining optimal operating temperatures for the GPUs. Lithium-ion batteries are also being used to extend system life and lower emissions, helping improve overall sustainability alongside performance.

The announcement aligns with a broader expansion of AI and data centre infrastructure across the country. As part of this wider push, L&T is developing a large data centre facility in Chennai. At the same time, E2E Networks is building another NVIDIA-powered AI cluster aimed at supporting sectors such as healthcare and finance.

In addition, Netweb Technologies is manufacturing NVIDIA GB200 platforms locally under the Make in India initiative. This effort is expected to strengthen domestic AI hardware capabilities and enhance India’s position in the global AI landscape.

Together, these developments reflect a growing focus on building large-scale, energy-efficient, and locally supported AI infrastructure to meet rising demand across industries.
