Nvidia has made its AI-powered Audio2Face tool open-source, allowing developers to create realistic facial animations for 3D avatars using audio input. The technology analyses the acoustic features of a voice to generate animation data, which is then mapped to the avatar’s facial expressions and lip movements.
Audio2Face can be applied to both pre-scripted content and live streams, enabling developers to build lifelike 3D characters for games, videos, and other interactive media. Several developers have already integrated the tool into their projects.
In addition to the tool itself, Nvidia is providing access to the training framework, giving users the flexibility to modify and fine-tune the AI models according to their needs. This move aims to make high-quality 3D animation more accessible and customizable for creators.
