In a significant step to expand its data center footprint in one of the world’s most dynamic digital markets, NTT Global Data Centers & Cloud Infrastructure India has acquired 2.4 acres of premium land in Andheri, Mumbai, for approximately $100 million (₹855 crore).
The newly acquired property, part of Balaji IT Park, includes three buildings covering over 45,500 sq. meters, offering a strategic foundation as NTT gears up to support India’s surging AI and cloud infrastructure demands.
Currently operating 18 data centers across the country, NTT is also driving forward the MIST submarine cable system, cementing its role as a key enabler of India’s hyperscale ambitions.
Further reinforcing its commitment, the Japanese tech major has announced a $1.5 billion investment between 2025 and 2027, aiming to boost its data center capacity by 2.4x.
This acquisition isn’t just a land deal—it’s a strong endorsement of India’s accelerating digital economy. As global hyperscalers double down on India, NTT has made a decisive move to lead the pack.
