Mr. Sharma’s role now extends beyond India to include ASEAN markets, reflecting the company’s growing focus on a broader regional strategy. According to sources, Sharma will take charge of driving marketing strategy and execution across India and ASEAN. His responsibilities will include regional go-to-market planning, integrated marketing campaigns, and customer growth initiatives across 15 ASEAN countries. This move aligns with Salesforce’s push toward the “agentic” AI era and a fast-evolving enterprise technology landscape.
Over the past 3 years, Sharma led Salesforce’s India marketing function, where he played a key role in building a strong and locally relevant brand presence. This included a campaign featuring Rahul Dravid, which helped the company deepen its connect with the Indian market.
With over 25 years of experience, Sharma brings deep expertise across product marketing, field marketing, and brand building. He has spent more than a decade at Adobe and held leadership roles at Apple and GE, focusing on enterprise and SMB market development. He joined Salesforce in 2023 to head marketing for India.
His expanded mandate is expected to strengthen Salesforce’s positioning across South Asia and ASEAN, while driving growth in an increasingly competitive and AI-driven business environment.
