In his new role, Giovanni will oversee corporate governance frameworks and board-level processes across the group. His responsibilities include ensuring strong governance practices, regulatory alignment, and effective decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation.
He brings decades of experience in corporate affairs, governance, and legal leadership across leading European companies. Prior to this, Giovanni spent nearly 18 years at Prysmian, where he served as Director Corporate Affairs. During his tenure, he led governance and secretarial functions, playing a key role in shaping governance structures and supporting strategic decisions.
Before Prysmian, he worked as Director Corporate Affairs at Sorin Group, where he further strengthened his expertise in governance and legal functions within a global business environment.
Earlier in his career, Giovanni held roles at Mediolanum SpA, managing corporate secretarial affairs. He also worked with Finanza & Futuro and Cardif Assicurazioni, building a strong foundation in legal and governance operations.
His appointment comes at a time when Nexi Group is focused on reinforcing governance excellence while expanding its presence in the European payments ecosystem.
