Netflix has officially established its presence in Hyderabad by leasing a 41,000-square-foot office space at CapitaLand ITPH, Block A, in HITEC City. The same building also houses Warner Bros. Discovery, positioning it as a major hub for global entertainment and media companies.
This marks Netflix’s first major base in Hyderabad, reinforcing its long-term commitment to India’s growing entertainment and technology ecosystem. The move is seen as a strategic effort to expand its footprint in local content creation, post-production, and operational support. Hyderabad’s strong media production, animation, and digital infrastructure capabilities have made it an ideal location for the streaming giant’s next phase of growth.
Netflix’s arrival comes at a time when Hyderabad is experiencing a record-breaking year in attracting global businesses. In 2025 alone, several multinational corporations have chosen the city to establish their Global Capability Centres (GCCs) or innovation hubs. These include Eli Lilly, Vanguard, T-Mobile, McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, Costco, P&G, Heineken, Marriott, American Airlines, Nationwide Insurance, Dai-Ichi, HCA, Western Union, Goodyear, PNC Financial, Hartford, and ArcelorMittal.
This remarkable expansion highlights Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a preferred global destination for innovation, technology, and business excellence. The city’s strategic infrastructure, progressive government policies, and skilled workforce continue to attract significant international investments across diverse sectors — from pharmaceuticals and finance to hospitality, automotive, and now, entertainment technology.
Industry experts believe that Netflix’s entry will spark a new wave of media and technology collaboration in Hyderabad. The move is expected to create new opportunities for local production studios, VFX companies, and digital content professionals, strengthening the city’s position as a creative and innovation hub.
With Netflix setting up operations alongside Warner Bros. Discovery, Hyderabad’s evolution into a global centre for creativity, technology, and enterprise seems closer than ever.
