Nestlé S.A. has announced the appointment of Jeff Hamilton as the new Chief Executive Officer for Zone Americas (AMS), effective July 1, 2025. Hamilton, currently leading Purina PetCare in Zone Europe, will also join the Group Executive Board. This leadership transition follows the retirement of Steve Presley, the current Executive Vice President and CEO of Zone AMS, who will step down on April 30, 2025, after nearly three decades with the company.
Laurent Freixe, CEO of Nestlé S.A., expressed gratitude to Presley for his years of service and welcomed Hamilton to his new role. “Jeff has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and a remarkable ability to inspire and motivate his teams,” said Freixe.
Hamilton’s tenure at Nestlé spans over 30 years, beginning as a sales representative for Purina in the U.S. in 1991. He has held several leadership roles within the company, including President and CEO of Nestlé Canada and President of Nestlé’s Foods Division in the U.S. He also served as Vice President of Marketing at Nestlé Purina Asia, Oceania, and Africa. Hamilton’s experience across different zones and his leadership at Purina’s European headquarters in Switzerland have prepared him for his role as CEO of Zone Americas.
The announcement is based on a press release statement issued by Nestlé S.A. on April 25, 2025. The company’s decision to appoint Hamilton reflects its strategic focus on leadership continuity and growth within the Zone Americas region.
