Navi Mumbai’s first international marina project at Belapur Sector 15 is moving ahead rapidly after securing all key approvals, promising to transform the city into a hub for marine tourism and economic growth.

The project, developed by Navi Mumbai International Marina Pvt. Ltd. under the Maharashtra Maritime Board, has officially commenced construction. A senior official confirmed, “Construction of the Navi Mumbai International Marina has begun, and this project will boost marine tourism.”

Featured among the Chief Minister’s progressive projects, the marina is expected to increase tourist inflow and place Navi Mumbai firmly on Maharashtra’s tourism map. It will feature world-class infrastructure, modern amenities, and dedicated areas for water sports and recreational activities, paving the way for international-level athletes from the region.

Economic & Employment Impact

Officials noted that the project will also strengthen Navi Mumbai’s blue economy by creating jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities, particularly benefiting local youth.
