NatWest Group welcomes Rachna Agarwal as Senior Vice President

In her new role, Agarwal will drive strategic initiatives across data, technology, and transformation programmes, with a strong focus on building enterprise data capabilities and next-generation delivery frameworks.

Her appointment highlights the bank’s continued push toward advanced data engineering and AI-led programme execution. The role places her at the centre of large-scale transformation efforts, aimed at strengthening how data and technology support business outcomes.

Agarwal brings deep experience in data governance, ETL systems, generative AI, and complex delivery management. Before this move, she served as Associate Director – Delivery at Nagarro, where she led major programmes in Generative AI and Data Engineering.

She also has a long history with NatWest Group and its former parent brand RBS. Over more than 10 years, she progressed steadily from senior engineering roles to executive-level programme leadership. Her career path reflects strong expertise in managing large, multi-disciplinary teams and delivering enterprise-scale technology initiatives.

In her new position, Agarwal will guide key transformation projects that combine data, AI, and modern delivery models. Her mandate includes strengthening core data platforms and shaping how future programmes are designed and executed across the organisation.

The move comes as NatWest Group increases its investment in data-driven systems and automation to support long-term growth. By placing experienced leaders in senior roles, the bank is aiming to accelerate innovation while improving governance and delivery standards.

Agarwal’s elevation signals both confidence in her leadership and the growing importance of data and AI in the bank’s strategy.
