Nasscom has announced the launch of its United Kingdom Forum on November 20, 2025. The apex body of the Indian information technology industry introduced this platform to strengthen the technology and trade partnership between India and the United Kingdom. The new forum aims to bring together governments, the technology sector, enterprises, associations, academia, analysts, think tanks and the Indian diaspora.
In its statement, Nasscom said the forum will support collaboration in artificial intelligence between the two countries. This includes work under the Technology Security Initiative, with a focus on the public sector. Nasscom explained that India’s experience in artificial intelligence adoption and digital public infrastructure can help the United Kingdom deliver citizen services at scale.
The forum will also work on artificial intelligence readiness, workforce upskilling and digital transformation for small and medium enterprises. It will promote responsible artificial intelligence practices and shared innovation that benefits both nations.
Rajesh Nambiar, president of Nasscom, said, “The India United Kingdom partnership stands at the cusp of a new decade of innovation, inclusion, and impact. The next decade must be about co innovation, where India and the United Kingdom jointly design and deploy solutions in artificial intelligence, digital public infrastructure, and emerging technologies.”
Peter Kyle, Secretary of State for Business and Trade and President of the Board of Trade in the Government of the United Kingdom, said, “With the United Kingdom India FTA now signed, the launch of the Nasscom United Kingdom Forum will strengthen our trading partnership in the high growth technology sector and will unlock massive opportunities for businesses in both the United Kingdom and India.”
The launch event took place at the Indian High Commission in London.
