Naarayan T V Appointed as Chief Marketing Officer at Akasa Air

Akasa Air has announced the appointment of Naarayan T V as its new Chief Marketing Officer, effective August 29, 2025. He will lead a wide range of responsibilities including marketing, corporate communications and ESG, customer experience, eCommerce, customer loyalty, and partnerships. He will also serve as a member of Akasa’s Executive Committee.

This appointment comes at a time when Akasa Air is expanding rapidly and working towards its goal of becoming one of the top 30 global airlines by the end of the decade. Naarayan’s role is seen as an important step in strengthening the airline’s brand and customer focus as it continues to grow worldwide.

Naarayan brings more than two decades of experience across eCommerce, fintech, banking, D2C broking, and global consumer brands. He is recognised for his digital-first expertise, strong marketing vision, and customer-centric approach. His work covers marketing communication, digital marketing, market research, UX, creative strategy, brand building, and product launch campaigns, helping to deliver strong brand results across Indian and international markets.

In the past, Naarayan has held senior leadership roles at IDFC FIRST Bank, where he built brand value through sponsorships and impactful campaigns. At PayPal India, he led the first integrated brand launch, increasing merchant acquisition tenfold within a year. He has also been recognised among India’s top CMOs and received several awards, including the DMA Asia Trail Blazer Award in 2023 for innovation and marketing excellence.
