Mythili Sarathy takes on expanded role of Vice President – Enterprise Transformation Group at Reliance Industries Limited Chairman’s Office

In this role, she will play a key part in driving large-scale transformation initiatives across the Reliance Group.

In her expanded responsibilities, Sarathy will contribute to enterprise transformation programmes, leadership capability development, organisational effectiveness initiatives, and business process excellence across several core businesses of Reliance Industries Limited. Her role is positioned at the intersection of strategy, leadership systems, and execution.

Before this elevation, Sarathy held multiple roles within the Chairman’s Office at Reliance Industries Limited. She previously served as Special Initiatives Lead and earlier as Managing Business Partner – Polymer and SCM, Member of the Chairman’s Office, and Head of Talent Management. Across these roles, she contributed to leadership development, talent strategy, and organisational transformation initiatives spanning Reliance’s Jamnagar and Mumbai operations.

Prior to her long tenure at Reliance, Sarathy worked internationally as Head of Strategy and Senior Management Advisor at SLOANEBUILT in Australia. Earlier, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Head Strategy, where she led enterprise strategy, HR transformation, technology enablement, leadership coaching, and business growth programmes.

Alongside her corporate responsibilities, Sarathy is also a Visiting Faculty member at Shiv Nadar University. In this capacity, she contributes to teaching Organization Theory, Design and Development, supporting stronger academic and industry integration in leadership education.

Earlier in her career, she held roles at Payoda Technologies, Microsoft, Cdot Alcatel Lucent Research Centre, and AIMS Education. These experiences helped her build a multidisciplinary foundation across strategy, technology, business development, and human capital transformation.

Sarathy is an alumna of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, where she completed her PGDM in Marketing and Sales with a specialisation in Strategy.

With this appointment, Reliance Industries Limited continues to reinforce its leadership bench to support complex, enterprise-scale transformation across its diversified businesses.
