A new global capability centre has begun operations at KINFRA Techno Park in Kakkanchery, adding momentum to Kerala’s efforts to expand its role in international business services. The facility marks a key step in strengthening global operations from the state.
The centre has been set up by UAE-based MS Holdings and will manage global business functions, including technology services and financial research and development. It is designed to serve as a primary hub supporting the company’s international business activities.
Inaugurating the centre, Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman said such facilities are vital for creating international-standard employment opportunities for youth within their home regions. He added that Kerala offers a supportive environment for global companies, supported by strong industrial infrastructure and a skilled talent pool.
Through this global capability centre, MS Holdings aims to position Kerala as a preferred global services destination. The centre’s core objective is to connect locally available skilled professionals with global business operations, building a direct link between regional talent and international markets.
The GCC currently employs around 100 professionals and plans to generate more than 2,000 job opportunities over the next 5 years. This growth is expected to boost both direct and indirect employment and contribute to stronger economic activity in the region. The centre will also expose young professionals to regulatory frameworks, governance standards, and global expectations that shape major financial centres in India and abroad.
CA Mohammed Shafeek, Founder and CEO of MS Holdings, said the GCC will move ahead in partnership with global-standard training programmes. He noted that enabling local professionals to work directly on international projects would further energise India’s knowledge-driven economy.
