The decision follows recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and is subject to shareholder approval. Sood brings more than 36 years of experience across financial services and technology and currently serves on the boards of ICICI Bank and the National Payments Corporation of India.
His professional journey includes leadership roles at Citi Technology Services Ltd, J P Morgan, nasscom, NatWest Group, Cornerstone Venture Partners Fund, Carrier HVAC, GE Capital Services India, HCLTech Deluxe and Citi India. His work reflects strong expertise in governance, technology strategy and large scale operational transformation.
Sood earlier served as President of the IT Services division at Mphasis where he managed major business operations and P and L responsibilities. Over the years Sood has led technology expansion efforts, guided strategic direction for global hubs and supported industry bodies such as the NASSCOM GCC Council.
Sood’s broad exposure to global enterprises including Capital One, Royal Bank of Scotland Business and Wipro Technology Services formerly Citi Technology Services strengthens his position as a valuable addition to the Mphasis board as the company continues to build its strategic and governance framework.
