Motorola has announced that the Motorola Edge 70 will launch in India on December 15. The smartphone will be available through an e commerce platform, the company’s official online store and other retail outlets. It will be offered in three Pantone colour options. A microsite for the phone went live earlier, confirming that the device is 5.99 mm thick and is set for an official release.
The company has also revealed that the Motorola Edge 70 will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It will feature a triple rear camera system with a 50 megapixel main sensor, a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera with Macro Vision and an LED flash. The phone is said to support video recording at up to 4K resolution at up to 60 frames per second.
The updated microsite lists several key specifications. The handset will be available in Pantone Bronze Green, Pantone Gadget Grey and Pantone Lily Pad colourways. It will include a 5000 mAh silicon carbon battery with 68W wired charging and 15W wireless fast charging. The device will also use a Vapour Cooling Chamber system to manage heat.
The Motorola Edge 70 will offer a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, up to 4500 nits of peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i protection and Dolby Atmos support. The phone will ship with Android 16 based Hello UI, and the company promises three years of operating system updates and four years of security updates.
At the front, the device will carry a 50 megapixel quad pixel camera for selfies and video calls. It is claimed to come with MIL STD 810H certification along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone will feature an “aircraft grade aluminium frame” and weighs about 159 grams.
The Motorola Edge 70 combines a high resolution camera system, fast charging features and a bright display, making it one of the notable upcoming launches in the premium mid segment.
