Most Indian creators say generative AI is driving their growth

A new report by a software company shows that Indian content creators are strongly embracing generative artificial intelligence and see it as a major driver of their success. The inaugural Creators Toolkit Report is based on a large global survey and highlights how widely AI tools are being used for content creation, even as concerns about AI generated content continue to grow.

In a press note, the company said the report is based on responses from more than 16000 creators across Australia, France, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, the UK and the US. The aim was to understand “how content creators are integrating creative generative AI and mobile tools in their workflows, and what they expect from the next generation of AI, including agentic AI.”

Indian creators showed one of the most positive outlooks towards the technology. According to the findings, 97 percent believe AI has had a positive effect on the creator economy. About 95 percent said it has helped them grow their business and audience faster. Another 85 percent shared that AI allows them to “create content they otherwise couldn’t have made.”

The most common uses of AI among creators include editing, upscaling and content enhancement. Many also use it for generating images and videos, as well as for brainstorming and ideation. When it comes to agentic AI, 90 percent of creators said they are optimistic about its potential. Around 96 percent added they would consider using AI agents if these tools could learn their personal creative style.

Despite the optimism, several concerns were also raised. The report noted that 78 percent of creators worry about their content being used to train AI models without their consent. Others pointed to high costs, inconsistent quality and lack of clarity around how AI systems are trained.

The survey was conducted in partnership with a research firm in September 2025. Participants were defined as “individuals who create and publish digital content at least a few times per month with the intent to inform, entertain, or engage an audience on social platforms.” The focus was on emerging and semi professional creators rather than full time industry professionals.
