Morocco has officially launched the Morocco Digital Hub for Sustainable Development (D4SD) during a high-level side event at the 80th United Nations General Assembly. The Hub, an Arab-African center of excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, is being established in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme and leading players from the digital ecosystem.
The D4SD Hub is a strategic initiative to strengthen Morocco’s leadership in digital transformation. It aligns with the country’s Digital Morocco 2030 strategy and supports efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
As a center of excellence, the Hub aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing in AI and data science. It will support both regional and global initiatives to leverage digital technologies for sustainable development, including solutions that promote socio-economic growth, sustainability, and inclusive development.
The launch positions Morocco as a regional leader in digital solutions, highlighting the country’s commitment to using technology to drive positive social and economic impact across the Arab and African regions.
