Capri Global Capital Ltd, a diversified non-banking financial company operating as Capri Loans, has appointed Monu Ratra as its new Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Monu will lead the company’s next phase of growth, focusing on strengthening governance, enhancing digital capabilities, and expanding its presence across India. He will also drive Capri Global’s medium-term growth plans and leverage the momentum from the recent Qualified Institutional Placement to support capital-backed expansion.
Monu brings over twenty years of experience in financial services and mortgage lending. He has deep expertise in retail credit, operational excellence, and digital innovation. At IIFL Home Finance Ltd, Monu served as Executive Director and CEO for more than eleven years. During this time, he transformed the company into a fintech-enabled affordable housing finance institution with a strong focus on social and environmental impact.
Earlier, Monu held senior positions at Indiabulls Group, where he helped establish the company as a key mortgage player across tier one, two, and three towns in India. He also worked with ICICI Bank as Regional Business Head for Mortgages, overseeing sales, credit, and operations in Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh, and expanding the bank’s footprint into new markets.
Monu began his career with HDFC Ltd. as a Management Trainee, working in collections, underwriting, and new business initiatives. His experience across leading financial institutions in India equips him with the strategic insight and execution capabilities to advance Capri Global’s mission of financial inclusion and sustainable growth.
