Mistral AI has announced the completion of its Series C funding round worth 1.7 billion euros, reaching a post-money valuation of 11.7 billion euros. This milestone is set to accelerate the company’s mission to advance artificial intelligence for solving complex technological challenges across strategic industries.
The round was led by ASML Holding NV, the world’s leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer. “ASML is proud to enter a strategic partnership with Mistral AI, and to be lead investor in this funding round,” said Christophe Fouquet, CEO of ASML. “The collaboration between Mistral AI and ASML aims to generate clear benefits for ASML customers through innovative products and solutions enabled by AI, and will offer potential for joint research to address future opportunities.”
Other participants in the round include existing investors such as DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Bpifrance, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, and NVIDIA. This strong backing reinforces Mistral AI’s independence as it continues to develop decentralised frontier AI solutions for enterprises, governments, and industries, powered by advanced models and high-performance compute infrastructure.
