In a move to improve AI-powered research, Microsoft has introduced major updates to its Copilot assistant, allowing users to access multiple AI models for more reliable results. The update aims to enhance accuracy and give users better control over AI-generated responses.
One of the key additions is the “Critique” feature, which combines models from OpenAI and Anthropic. In this system, OpenAI’s GPT generates the initial response, while Anthropic’s Claude reviews and checks it for accuracy.
Microsoft has also launched the “Model Council” feature, enabling users to compare outputs from different AI models side by side. This helps users choose the most suitable response based on their needs.
These updates come as Microsoft expands access to its Copilot Cowork tool through the Frontier program. The move will allow more users to test new AI capabilities at an early stage.
The expansion is part of Microsoft’s broader strategy to stay competitive with rivals such as Google and other AI providers in the fast-evolving AI space.
