Microsoft offers one-year free 365 Personal subscription with Copilot for students

Microsoft has announced a special offer providing college students with a free 12-month subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal with Copilot. The tech giant, which usually offers a three-month free trial followed by discounted pricing, is now giving extended access to its full suite of productivity tools and AI-powered Copilot features for an entire year. The offer, however, is available for a limited time and applies only in select regions.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Microsoft confirmed that the offer is open to all eligible college students. Those who have completed high school and are currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes can apply. Students not enrolled in a recognised institution will not be eligible.

The company’s official offer page is now live, and students can claim the free subscription immediately. However, the offer is valid only until 30 November, after which new sign-ups will not be accepted.

The Microsoft 365 Personal plan is designed for individual use and cannot be shared with others. It supports up to five devices at once, allowing students to access their accounts seamlessly across computers, smartphones, and tablets.

Subscribers will get access to the full Microsoft 365 suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, all with premium features enabled. The Copilot sidebar is integrated across these applications, offering an enhanced AI experience.

Students will also gain access to exclusive Copilot capabilities such as Deep Research, Podcasts, and Vision, along with upgraded limits on standard AI features. The subscription further unlocks advanced image and video tools within Copilot, enabling users to experience Microsoft’s full multimodal functionality.

Additionally, the plan includes 1TB of cloud storage, distributed across Outlook and OneDrive, providing students with ample space to store and access their documents securely.

Currently, the free Microsoft 365 Personal with Copilot offer is only available in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Students in these regions can redeem the offer before the deadline to make the most of this opportunity.
