Bengaluru-based AI startup Metaforms has raised USD 9 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund.
Founded in 2022 by Akshat Tyagi and Arjun S, Metaforms develops AI agents that automate workflow processes for market research agencies. The platform simplifies tasks such as survey programming, data processing and vendor coordination, helping agencies improve turnaround times and scale operations efficiently.
With the new funding, Metaforms plans to triple its engineering and AI research team in Bengaluru. The company also aims to expand into areas such as automated report generation and voice-based research. It will further integrate with widely used research tools including Decipher, SPSS and Confirmit.
Metaforms currently supports four of the world’s top twenty market research firms and manages over 1,000 surveys each month.
“When research agencies grow, better business decisions get made. We are not here to replace the humans in the loop. We are here to give them leverage,” said Akshat Tyagi, co-founder and CEO of Metaforms.
Shailendra Singh of Peak XV noted, “Metaforms is enabling some of the largest research agencies globally to automate workflows such as survey programming and data processing through their suite of AI agents.” John Avirett of Together Fund added, “The company’s technical depth and growing customer adoption make it a clear leader in this space.”
Metaforms is now setting its sights on processing over 100,000 surveys annually. The company also plans to open a new office in New York and expand its AI agent features to include voice automation and advanced reporting capabilities.
This funding round highlights investor confidence in Metaforms’ mission to empower market research agencies with scalable, AI-driven automation.
