Meta is set to open a new office in Bengaluru, focusing on AI-driven engineering, as it continues to strengthen its presence in India. The social media giant, which owns Facebook and Instagram, is currently hiring for various engineering and product roles in the city.
The company plans to appoint an engineering director to lead the establishment of the new office. This director will be responsible for building a talented engineering team and developing the long-term engineering strategy for Meta in India. While Meta already has a presence in Bengaluru at the Embassy Golf Links, the new office will focus on AI-related engineering efforts, expanding beyond the company’s existing operations in sales, marketing, business development, policy, legal, and finance.
The new Bengaluru office will be part of Meta’s enterprise engineering team, which develops internal tools to boost productivity within the organization. This move is in line with the increasing number of global tech companies expanding their footprint in India’s growing tech hub.
