The Oakley Meta Glasses, first introduced in global markets in June, are now available for purchase in India. The artificial intelligence enabled smart glasses have been developed in partnership with the sports performance equipment maker Oakley. They are offered in the HSTN style and combine Meta’s artificial intelligence technology stack, including access to the Meta artificial intelligence assistant for hands free use. The glasses allow users to capture photos and record video clips in up to 3K resolution.

Oakley Meta Glasses features and specifications
The Oakley Meta Glasses have a twelve megapixel camera with improved abilities compared to the first generation Ray Ban Meta Glasses. Meta states that the glasses support point of view video recording in up to 3K resolution at thirty frames per second with a one hundred degree field of view.
They support Standard, Slow motion and Hyperlapse video modes. Users can also take photos in three thousand and twenty four by four thousand and thirty two pixels resolution. First person livestreaming on Meta apps such as Instagram is supported. The glasses also feature a penta microphone array for clearer audio recording.
Like the Ray Ban Meta Glasses, the Oakley Meta Glasses can be used to take calls and send messages. Open ear speakers handle calls and music playback. They offer thirty two gigabytes of internal storage, which Meta says can hold more than one thousand photos and over one hundred video clips of thirty seconds each. The camera and an LED light, which also acts as a recording indicator, are placed on either side of the frame.
The glasses include a built in Meta artificial intelligence voice assistant. Users can activate it with the prompt ‘Hey Meta’ to perform hands free tasks. They can request real time information about the weather, activity planning, culinary suggestions and music control through apps such as Apple Music and Spotify.
Meta says the smart glasses have a rechargeable battery that lasts up to eight hours on a single charge. They come with a rechargeable case that offers a total of forty eight hours of usage.
