Marking a key step in its artificial intelligence roadmap, Meta has introduced its first AI model from the Meta Superintelligence Labs division, bringing improved reasoning and new capabilities to its chatbot ecosystem.
The model, named Muse Spark, was released nearly 9 months after the division was established. It is currently being rolled out on the Meta AI website and app, with plans to expand integration across the company’s social media platforms in the coming weeks.
According to the company, Muse Spark is designed as a fast and efficient model while still handling complex queries across science, mathematics, and health. Users can switch between Fast and Thinking modes, depending on whether they need quicker responses or deeper reasoning. The model can also deploy multiple subagents simultaneously to handle multi-part queries.
The AI model introduces upgraded vision capabilities. Users can upload images, and the chatbot can understand context and respond without additional explanation. This feature is also expected to be added to the company’s AI glasses.
Meta said the model offers improved responses to health-related queries. “We worked with a team of physicians to develop the model’s ability to provide helpful information on common health questions and concerns,” the company stated.
Muse Spark also includes visual coding capabilities, allowing users to generate websites and mini games from text prompts. Additionally, a new recommendation feature introduces a shopping mode that provides styling ideas and product suggestions based on content from creators and communities.
The chatbot can also provide contextual insights during conversations. Users can explore trending topics or locations, view related posts, and access insights from local users directly within the platform.
The launch highlights Meta’s continued push to enhance AI-driven user experiences across its ecosystem.
