The firm said in a blog post on Wednesday that it will soon introduce its main product, Ray-Ban Meta glasses, in India. According to the company’s blog post, the India launch will take place alongside those in Mexico and the United Arab Emirates.
Along with offering users the ability to send and receive direct messages, images, audio calls, and video calls via Instagram, the social media giant is also introducing a live translation tool for all Ray-Ban Meta glass users worldwide.
“This joins being able to make calls and send messages through WhatsApp and Messenger, as well as the native messaging app on your iPhone or Android phone,” the company said in the blog post.
According to Meta, it is also extending the availability of music applications such as Shazam, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music outside of the United States and Canada.
Two years after the introduction of Meta’s smart glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta glasses were initially released in September 2023. EssilorLuxottica was partnered with to launch both goods.
