Arun Srinivas was named by Meta as its managing director and head for India on Monday. This comes after it was recently announced that Sandhya Devanathan will be assuming a more expansive position as the leader of South East Asia and India.
He will continue to report to Devanathan after assuming his new position on July 1.
In his new and enlarged position, Srinivas will continue to support Meta’s long-term business growth and dedication to India while concentrating on aligning the organization’s business, innovation, and revenue goals to serve partners and clients.
According to the corporation, he will lead the India charter and fortify the strategic ties with the top advertisers, developers, brands, and partners in the nation to propel India’s market expansion.
With almost thirty years of experience in sales and marketing executive positions at firms like Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, OLA, and investment firm WestBridge Capital, Srinivas is a postgraduate of IIM Kolkata.
At the moment, Srinivas leads the Ads Business in India as its director. Since joining the firm in 2020, he has been instrumental in spearheading Meta’s efforts with the biggest advertisers and agency partners in the nation, concentrating on key revenue objectives including messaging, AI, and reels.
“As India continues to be at the forefront of economic growth and innovation, we are excited to have Arun at the helm of our efforts in this critical market. Meta in India is leading the way in AI adoption, WhatsApp, and reels, and Arun’s impressive track record of building high-performing teams, driving product innovation, and fostering strong partnerships makes him the ideal leader to drive Meta’s continued investment in the country. He will continue to work closely with me as we scale the business in India.” said Sandhya Devanathan, vice-president (India and South East Asia), Meta.
