Meghana Rao has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Tata AIG, bringing with her nearly 20 years of experience in driving talent strategy, organisational development, and people management.
Before joining Tata AIG, Rao was the Human Resources Director at Flipkart, where she worked for over three years, leading several initiatives across talent and HR functions.
Her professional journey includes a long and impactful tenure at ICICI Bank, where she held several key leadership roles over more than 15 years. She began her stint there as Senior Manager for Employee Relations, later heading Talent Acquisition for the Northern region, and eventually serving as the Zonal Head of Human Resources for South India. These roles provided her with deep insights into regional HR operations and talent management at a large scale.
Rao also served as Human Resources Manager at Larsen and Toubro for over a year, further strengthening her leadership capabilities in the HR domain.
Her areas of expertise include business partnering, change management, organisation design, performance management and analytics, talent acquisition and development, employee engagement, inclusion and diversity, and employee relations.
Rao’s appointment signals Tata AIG’s commitment to enhancing its people-first culture and strategic HR practices as it continues to grow and innovate in the insurance sector.
