MedRisk, a leading managed care organization in the US and Canada, has named Satish Narayanan as its new Chief Data Officer (CDO). This is a newly created position, and Narayanan will be responsible for shaping and executing MedRisk’s overall data strategy. His focus will be on using advanced analytics, AI, and automation to boost client value, improve patient outcomes, and support better decision-making across the business.
Narayanan brings a strong background in using data and technology to deliver business growth. He has held senior roles in the financial services industry and most recently worked at TD Bank. There, he led major efforts to modernize the bank’s data and AI platforms. His work helped improve performance, enhance customer experience, and strengthen compliance with regulatory standards.
With a track record of delivering results, improving efficiency, and ensuring data privacy in highly regulated environments, Narayanan is well-positioned to support MedRisk’s future growth.
“Satish’s appointment marks an exciting milestone in our continued evolution as we work to enhance our use of data and AI,” said Sri Sridharan, Chief Executive Officer of MedRisk. “His leadership and expertise will help us expand our capabilities to create more intelligent, proactive, and efficient solutions for our clients and the patients they serve.”
Narayanan also expressed his enthusiasm for joining the company, saying, “I’m impressed by the progress MedRisk has already made in harnessing the value of data for its clients. I’m excited to help unlock the full potential of data and AI to bring superior patient care, elevate end-user experience, and deliver best-in-class outcomes – all while continuing to build on MedRisk’s unique and powerful dataset.”
His role aligns with MedRisk’s larger strategy of combining data, technology, and clinical knowledge to improve the claims experience for payers, providers, and patients. With Narayanan’s leadership, the company plans to speed up its efforts in automation and decision intelligence, helping to reduce delays and increase accuracy throughout the care and claims process.
