MediaTek Sees Surge in Demand as Indian EV Makers Adopt AI and HPC Solutions

MediaTek, a global leader in semiconductor technology, is witnessing increased traction in India’s rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) sector, driven by demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) solutions.

With India’s EV market poised for significant growth, domestic manufacturers are turning to MediaTek’s advanced chipsets to power everything from infotainment systems to real-time diagnostics and battery management.

“EVs are no longer just about electrification—they’re about intelligence and connectivity,” said Anku Jain, Managing Director, MediaTek India. “Our AI and HPC solutions are helping Indian EV makers design smarter, safer, and more efficient vehicles.”

MediaTek’s chips are being used to support a variety of automotive functions including AI-powered voice assistants, in-vehicle entertainment, driver assistance systems, and connectivity features.

The company is working closely with a range of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and emerging EV startups to tailor its chipsets to India’s specific mobility needs. Jain noted that MediaTek is also investing in localized R&D and ecosystem development to support the sector.

As India accelerates its push toward sustainable transportation, the integration of AI and HPC technologies in EVs is seen as critical to delivering next-generation user experiences and performance benchmarks.

With its expanded focus on automotive and industrial applications, MediaTek aims to play a pivotal role in powering India’s digital and green mobility revolution.
