Max Mamondez Joins Swift as CFO to Drive Financial Strategy

Global financial messaging network Swift has appointed Max Mamondez as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a key move that will bolster the company’s leadership team. Mamondez, who has previously held senior financial roles in prominent firms, brings with him a wealth of experience in driving innovation and financial strategy in fast-paced international settings.

Having most recently served at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), where he led corporate financial planning and analysis, Mamondez is no stranger to the world of high-stakes finance. His career has also seen him work with major firms such as Rockwell Automation, Diebold Inc, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he contributed to the development of strategic financial frameworks that supported global growth.

On his new role at Swift, Mamondez shared his excitement, calling this a “pivotal time” for the industry. “Swift is widely recognised as the bedrock of the global financial services industry and is doing truly innovative work to power an inclusive digital future,” he remarked, signaling the importance of his joining the cooperative at this critical moment.

Mamondez will be a key member of Swift’s executive committee, reporting directly to CEO Javier Pérez-Tasso. His appointment is viewed as a strategic step towards enhancing Swift’s financial capabilities as it embarks on its next phase of development. According to Pérez-Tasso, Mamondez’s “proven record” in driving financial performance and his wealth of international experience will be invaluable to Swift’s leadership team.

“His perspective will be hugely beneficial as we deliver the next phases of our strategy to enable instant, frictionless and interoperable transactions worldwide,” Pérez-Tasso added, underscoring the company’s ambition to maintain its role as a leading force in global financial transactions.

With a background that spans major corporations and global markets, Mamondez’s leadership will be instrumental in guiding Swift through the evolving financial landscape. His strategic financial insight is set to propel the company towards new heights as it continues to push the boundaries of innovation in financial services.
