Matthew Brown Appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Tenable

Tenable, a leading cyber exposure management company, has announced the appointment of Matthew Brown as its new Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect. He takes over from Steve Vintz, who has recently stepped into the role of Co Chief Executive Officer alongside Mark Thurmond.

Brown is an experienced finance leader with more than two decades in senior roles across leading technology companies. Most recently, he served as CFO at Altair Engineering, where he guided strategic growth, doubled software revenue, improved margins, and successfully led its $10.7 billion acquisition by Siemens. His career also includes senior leadership positions at NortonLifeLock, Symantec, Blue Coat, Brocade, NETGEAR, and KPMG.

“Brown brings a proven track record of scaling global technology businesses, delivering operational efficiency, and driving shareholder value,” said Steve Vintz, Co CEO of Tenable.

Sharing his thoughts on the appointment, Brown said he is “energised” to combine Tenable’s market leadership with bold financial strategies to accelerate the company’s next phase of growth.

With this leadership change, Tenable aims to further strengthen its financial strategy while continuing to expand its role as a trusted name in cyber exposure management worldwide.
