Oman’s National Finance has welcomed Marwa Al Kharusi as its new Chief People Officer, a key leadership move aligned with the company’s vision for sustainable national growth and people-centric excellence. With more than two decades of distinguished experience in human resources across sectors like finance, consulting, telecom, and energy, Marwa steps into this role to shape the future of talent at one of Oman’s leading non-banking financial institutions.
In her new role, Marwa will lead the organisation’s people strategy, from cultivating leadership pipelines to driving change management and nurturing a culture of innovation and inclusion. Her mission will revolve around aligning human capital development with the organisation’s business ambitions and national transformation goals.
Before joining National Finance, Marwa served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Ominvest, where she orchestrated enterprise-wide HR strategies and championed diversity, equity, and leadership development. Her career has been a tapestry of impactful roles, each reinforcing her philosophy of empowering people to power progress.
Marwa’s previous stints at Deloitte Consulting as HR Manager, as well as senior positions with Omantel, Qatar Aeronautical College, Shell and the Ooredoo Group, shaped her expertise in managing large-scale organisational shifts and embedding resilient workplace cultures. At Shell, she notably served as a Change and Engagement Planner, deepening her fluency in strategic workforce transformation.
Beyond the boardroom, Marwa is also a seasoned leadership and management coach, committed to mentoring future leaders and advocating high-performance practices. Her holistic perspective, blending operational HR excellence with coaching and empowerment, will be central to her role at National Finance.
This appointment signals a clear intent by National Finance to invest deeply in its human capital and to prepare its teams for a future shaped by agility, innovation, and national pride.
