In a decision that echoes trust, stability and a continued vision for progress, Marico Limited has officially approved the reappointment of Saugata Gupta as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. The board, during its meeting on May 2, 2025, gave a green signal for Gupta to continue leading the company from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2028. This update was shared with the stock exchanges on the same day.
Saugata Gupta’s journey with Marico began in 2004 when he came aboard as Head of Marketing. His strategic mindset and sharp business acumen swiftly elevated him to CEO of the India Business by 2007. In 2014, he stepped into the role of MD and CEO of the entire organisation, a position he has held ever since with remarkable consistency and growth-oriented leadership.
Over the years, Gupta has become synonymous with Marico’s transformation and success, blending innovation with consumer-centric strategies. His extended term signals not just continuity, but also a deep-rooted confidence in his ability to steer Marico into new horizons.
Financially, the company has also been on a robust path. In the fourth quarter of FY25, Marico reported revenue from operations at ₹2,730 crore, reflecting a 20 percent increase year on year. The India business alone registered a healthy volume growth of 7 percent, while the international segment posted a constant currency growth of 16 percent.
This renewed leadership is expected to further solidify Marico’s footprint across domestic and global markets, continuing its legacy of delivering trusted products and sustainable value.
