Maria Clara Silva Appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Titan America

Titan America has announced the appointment of Maria Clara Silva as its new Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, she will lead human capital strategy, organisational development, and talent transformation as the company continues its mission of delivering innovative and sustainable construction materials and solutions across the Eastern United States.

Maria Clara brings extensive global experience to the position. Before joining Titan America, she served as Vice President of Human Resources at Oshkosh Corporation for more than four years. Based in the Greater Washington D.C. area, she played a key role in shaping HR strategies to support business growth, workforce transformation, and employee engagement on a global scale.

Maria previously held senior leadership roles at Valaris Limited, including Vice President of Human Resources during the complex merger of Ensco and Rowan offshore drilling companies. She successfully managed integration, restructuring, and cultural alignment of the merged organisation, achieving approximately 90 million dollars in annual savings while steering significant organisational change. Maria Clara also served as Vice President of Business Development at Valaris, where she advanced offshore drilling strategies across Brazil and Mexico, and earlier as Vice President of Human Resources, leading HR transformation, centralisation of services, and major cost optimisation programmes.

Her career began at The Dow Chemical Company, where she spent nearly two decades in both business and HR leadership. Rising to senior roles such as Global HR Director and Talent Management Director, she managed talent programmes, diversity initiatives, and executive succession planning across the U.S., Latin America, and Asia Pacific. She was instrumental in building leadership development programmes that accelerated capability and organisational growth across regions. Maria’s early years at Dow also included roles in commercial strategy and market management in Latin America, which provided her with a strong business foundation for her later HR leadership journey.

With her broad expertise in organisational development, transformation, and global HR leadership, Maria Clara Silva is expected to play a central role in strengthening Titan America’s people strategy and driving sustainable growth.
